New parking regulations expected for Sunset Beach
The City Commission is expected to approve new parking regulations next week that could reduce the number of parking spaces controlled by Caddy’s on the Beach, according to this St. Petersburg Times story.
The city has been working for four years to update its parking regulations citywide. The new rules prohibit commercial parking in residential zones.
City Commission to consider extending alcohol ban
The Treasure Island City Commission meets Oct. 4 for a final vote on extending the alcohol ban on part of Sunset Beach.
The ban, which covers Saturdays, Sundays and certain holidays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m Oct. 2, expires Oct. 3 and would take effect again the first week in February. The new ban would run from 8 a.m. to 4 .m. and run through the first week of October.
