Christmas Eve Luminaries has been a cherished Sunset Beach Tradition for decades.  As the sun goes down on Christmas Eve, the streets come to life with a magnificent luminary display. During the day on Christmas Eve volunteers place 2400 luminaries along the streets of Sunset Beach. This is a VOLUNTEER effort.  The SBCA provides the supplies, volunteers line the streets with luminaries.  If you would like to volunteer and participate in our beloved tradition please contact us for a street assignment.  If you would like to make a donation towards supplies or co-sponsor the event please contact us at 727-687-2522 or [email protected].  If you are new to the neighborhood and would like to participate we welcome you!

There will be a neighborhood meeting held at City Hall in the Auditorium at 10:00 am Saturday morning, Sept 24th.  The meeting is to discuss the upcoming W. Gulf Blvd roadway and drainage project and how the traffic patterns and directions will have to change temporarily throughout the project.  This project will begin at the beginning of October.  The second topic that will be discussed is an idea that the City wants to share that may help mitigate some of the parking issues on the side streets in Sunset Beach.  City Staff, the City’s Roadway/Drainage project consultant, John Bishop from Pinellas County and some of our elected officials will be in attendance.

You can tune into TITV Channel 644.This meeting will be recorded and then be posted to YouTube on Monday or Tuesday of the following week.
